One of the most frustrating workplace dynamics:

The same behavior produces different consequences depending on the person.

• One person is corrected
• Another is overlooked
• A third is rewarded

This creates confusion—and often erodes trust in the system.

Example from my career

I’ve seen situations where two employees handled similar issues in nearly identical ways—but received very different responses from leadership.

The difference wasn’t the behavior.

It was the perception of the individuals involved.

That’s when it becomes clear that accountability is not always applied evenly.
